Kevin Hicks
President/CEO
Over the past 25 years in Kansas City, Kevin Hicks was President/CEO of Overland Park Regional Medical Center and later held the same position at Research Medical Center.
During his hospital administration career, Kevin led clinical program development and/or expansion efforts, including ACS verified trauma programs, comprehensive high risk obstetrical services, outpatient physician joint ventured surgery centers, hospital within hospital long term acute care services, complex GI, thoracic, and other site specific oncology services, pediatric programs within the community hospital setting, and many others.
In 2018, he left Overland Park Regional Medical Center and HCA to start CABE Consulting.
Expertise areas include:
- Advising healthcare technology companies and their applications in the hospital setting.
- Hospital contract management for small to medium sized hospitals experiencing financial troubles
- Assisting healthcare startups at an investment and board governance level.
- Evaluating opportunities to represent health care companies providing a unique and value-added product or service.

John Sievers
CABE Associate
A healthcare executive with more than three decades of experience, John has worked extensively in operational and business development roles for an integrated health system, an ambulatory surgery center company and a nationwide provider of outpatient physical rehabilitation services. John’s unique leadership abilities combine both program development and strategy implementation.
Prior to CABE, John served as VP of Development for Upstream Rehabilitation, a national provider of outpatient physical rehab services. He was also VP for Nueterra, an ambulatory surgery center company where he served in operational and business development roles. Prior to Nueterra, John was SVP of Clinical Outreach and Employer Health for Health Midwest, a Kansas City based integrated healthcare provider.

Kendra Wyatt
CABE Associate
Kendra has 30 years of operations and business development experience in outpatient birth center facilities, midwifery professional services and healthcare information technology. Prior to CABE, Kendra was CEO and co-founder of New Birth Company, a CABC licensed and accredited APRN Midwife Led Birth Center with over 3600 planned community births. Previously, she worked at Cerner Corporation (Oracle) in implementation and business development. Kendra is a member of the Kansas Maternal Child Health Council, whose job is to advise the Secretary of Health Environment. Kendra regularly interacts with federal and state policy leaders, legislators, employers, insurance plans, medicaid managed care organizations and community based organizations.

Ashley Young, RN MSN
Account Manager
As a former Intensive Care Unit RN, Cardio-Thoracic Surgery Nurse Practitioner, and MSN Degree recipient, Ashley Young brings her healthcare education and experience to CABE. She works in all areas of the consultancy, including Program Development, Recruitment, and Contract Negotiations. Ashley is the daughter of CABE's President & Founder, Kevin Hicks.
